You are invited to the 2008 “R0MP F0R RESEARCH” in support of Down syndrome cognition research. Last year’s second annual Romp For Research was an unqualified success as more than 800 people ROMPED at NYC’s Asphalt Green and more than 1000 people supported our efforts. In addition to having a terrific time and raising awareness about the talents and passions of people with Down syndrome, we raised over $175,000 for the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation. This year we hope to do even better.
Here is what you need to know:
• What: Troy’s Boys and Girl’s flagship event for 2008 – the “R0MP F0R RESEARCH” – an event featuring music, food and beverages, games, a silent auction, arts and crafts, prizes, entertainment, fire trucks provided by NY’s Bravest . . . and, most importantly, friends and supporters of the Down syndrome community.
• When: 2:30 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14th 2008
• Where: Asphalt Green. 90th – 92nd Street and York Avenue in New York City. (Enter on 90th Street, east of York).
• Why: To raise awareness and funding for the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation. The DSRTF’s mission is to stimulate biomedical research that will accelerate the development of treatments to significantly improve cognition for individuals with Down syndrome; with the goal of improving memory, learning and speech to allow individuals with Down syndrome to participate more successfully in school, lead more active and independent lives and prevent early cognitive decline.
• Who: Friends, supporters and advocates for the Down syndrome community . . . the Romp is open to everyone so feel free to invite friends.
• For More Information: Visit www.rompforresearch.com or www.troysboys.com

This heartwarming story, along with its vibrant illustrations, tells the tale of two happy but homeless puppies who find an abundance of love, a warm home, and true happiness with their new family.
